Operations and Outreach Manager
Daya Sharma is a highly accomplished professional with a distinguished background in Human Resources, Project Management, Research Administration, and Operations Management. She earned an MBA in Human Resources and Organizational Psychology from the Universidad Católica de Murcia (Spain), she is a Certified Project Management Professional from Project Management Institute (US), certified Strategic Human Resource Management professional from the Chartered Management Institute (UK), and holds a Postgraduate Extended Diploma in Business Management from Cambridge International Qualifications (UK).
With more than two decades of progressive experience, Daya has built deep expertise in HR, project leadership, and operational excellence. She began her career in the aviation industry, where she quickly established herself as a versatile and results-driven professional. In 2018, she joined NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) in the Office of Human Resources before advancing to Research Operations & Administration. In her current capacity, she plays a pivotal role in the university’s research ecosystem, overseeing administration, project and grants management, strategic planning, and resource allocation. Her portfolio spans multiple entities, including the Center for Brain and Health, Abu Dhabi Precision Medicine Aspire Research Institute, Laminate, and the Rokers Vision Lab within the Division of Science. Beyond her professional achievements, Daya is deeply committed to sustainability and eco-conscious living, actively championing initiatives for a plastic-free environment.
